We are a private company formed in 2021 to further our pursuit and implementation of renewable resource based energy ideas. We are striving to make a difference in the Alberta economy while utilizing our expertise that we have collectively acquired in the oil and gas industry in a new industry for Albertans.
Our leadership team is led by Steve Mole, a professional geologist with over 42 years of practicing geological experience in Alberta and BC; Dr. Marc Bustin, a geoscience professor at UBC in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences with over 45 years of experience in geological science in Alberta, BC, USA and Internationally; Jeremy Newton, a professional businessman and Landman with over 30 years of experience building and growing private and public companies in Alberta, BC and South America; and Dr. Amanda Bustin, a professional engineer with over 15 years experience in engineering geophysics and reservoir engineering in a variety of energy projects and as a researcher at UBC in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science.”
We have identified several areas close to towns and industry, proximal to 138 kV power lines (tie-in point) and have access to proven large volumes of brine at temperatures of 165°C.
Proven technology would be employed to produce high temperature brines from the source wells and processed through an Organic Rankine Cycle turbogenerator to generate the electricity. An 8 MW generating project that would provide us with a competitive advantage in scaling geothermal electric power generation to the 100’s of MW. JV’s with industry, Indigenous communities, and equity investors, together with funds granted by Federal and Provincial governments (NRCAN has provided 2 $25mm grants to geothermal projects in AB and SK and has $100mm more ear marked for Emerging Renewable Power under the ERPP). Provincial governments in both cases have also provided smaller amounts and partnerships.
